Welcome to Opendream! We're a community run project on a mission to revive and open-source the Google Daydream VR platform that was officially discontinued in 2019 with the release of Android 11.

Q: Does it work with non daydream-ready phones?
A: Yes, definitely! A main part of the project is to get it working for as many people as possible and currently it runs on any phone on android version 13 and below via the modded VR services app.
Q: Will it eventually support the vr play store?
A: We would definitely like to restore the vr play store and link it to the opendream app store for even easier downloads however this would need us to recode lots of the app files so this would likely be added in a few years, for now you can find apps and install them from the website!
